Biography


Lori E. Mazzola was born Lori E. Toler on June 18, 1980, in Anchorage, Alaska. She moved to California when she was four years old, after her only sister died of lymphoma and her parents got a divorce. Her mother was a real estate agent and her father was a fireman on the Anchorage Alaska Fire Department. She lived with her mother, visiting her father whenever she could. She graduated high school and became a licensed massage technician.  She is now happily married and the mother of two wonderful children. Lori has been published in four different anthologies, Twilight Musings, Songs of Honour, Collected Whispers, and The Best Poems & Poets of 2005. She has received the Editor's Choice Award for her poetry. Her first book, Tales of the Tree People "To tree...or not to tree?" published in 2006 won an honorable mention at the San Francisco Book Festival, New York Book Festival, and Hollywood Book Festival for children's books in 2009. Her second book is entitled The Forbidden Forest: Tales of the Tree People. She continues writing the tales for children...
