The Artist Tree

A place for you and me!

These are letters from students! Thank you all so very much!

 Dear Mrs. Mazzola,

I really enjoyed your presentation in the class. Our class finished your book, it was really great.  I also had lots of fun writing the crane and tree stories. Kelsey's story was really cool.  It made me laugh really hard.  I'm glad she won the book.  I loved "Tales of the Tree People" and I was wondering what you had in mind for your next book.  Maybe you could continue the story with Mars and Venus.  I can't wait to read it.  I'm sure it will be good like the first one. I love all of your stories. Thank you for coming in the class and, sharing your story. I'm really glad you came in. It was really fun entertaining you at recess. I had fun at lunch too. You are the coolest author ever.

Sincerely,

Riley A.

 Dear Mrs. Mazzola,

What is the name of the next book? Will it be about a tree? Thank you for coming and reading to us. I liked the book.  I liked it when you ate with us. It was cool. Did you like the lunch?

Your friend,

Adam H.

 Dear Mrs. Mazzola,

Why do you like books?  I know books are entertainment.  What is your next book going to be called?  Do you ever stop writing a book?  Don't you ever want to write something else but, it's not about trees?  How did you start writing a book?  Was it hard or easy?  Did your son or daughter give you ideas?  Did you ever give up like I can't write or type?  Thank you for coming to our class.  Thank you for teaching us a lot of stuff like writing and reading. The book mark is very neat.  Thank you for coming to our class and teaching us all about books, and best of all thank you for reading chapters to us.

Sincerely,

Diana

 Dear Mrs. Mazzola,

I hope you have a great time writing your next book. What is your next book called?  I have some questions for you.

1. Do you have a pet?

2. How are you?

3. How are your kids?

4. Do you know the muffin man?

Thank you for coming in and telling us a story. It was fun.

Sincerely,

Josie S.

 Dear Mrs. Mazzola,

What will your next book be on?  Please write back.  Is being an author fun?  I think it might be but I don't like writing. Did you have to go to school to be an author? Please write back.

Sincerely,

Kelsey

 Dear Mrs. Mazzola,

Mrs. Mazzola I would like to start off the letter by giving you ideas for your next book.  So here it goes. I think you should make it about the family in the first "Tales of the Tree People" and have Colonel Kenaf.  Now that I gave you ideas for the book now I would like to ask info on it.  So what is it about.  Who is in it and what is it about.  One more thing thank you for coming in and your time to read, eat lunch, and watch us play recess.

From Jacob

 Dear Mrs. Mazzola,

What is the name of your next book called?  When did you start your job?  Thank you for eating lunch with us and aso watching us do recess.  Why did you want this job?  Your book was terrific.  We already read it, and it was a good book. Your the best book writer ever.  I hope you come in our classroom again to see us.  Hope to see you soon.  I think you have a really cool job.  Your the best adult friend ever.  Your so pretty as an angel.  And my teacher likes you too. You used great words in your book.

Sincerely,

Emily R.

 Dear Mrs. Mazzola,

What will the name of your next book be?  How many books have you written? What will your next book be about?  Will it be about another tree? Here are some ideas about your next book.  There are two kids. They go on a walk.  They find a rabbit.  They take the rabbit home and put it in a cage.  The rabbit starts talking.  The kids think they're hallucinating but they're not.  Thank you for coming to our class and reading a book.  You are a good writer.  I hope you will read us another book.  Even though you didn't read us the whole book you still did good.  That book was awesome.

Sincerely,

Chris F.

 Dear Mrs. Mazzola,

Thank you for coming in and reading, talking about your job, and telling us about writing. I recently won a tarantula poem on last Friday.  I will write of it if you want me to.  I know I'm changing the subject but I want to ask you some questions.

1. When are you writing your next book?

2. What's your next book's title going to be?

3. Is it going to be a kids or grown-ups book?

4. How long did it take you to become a writer?

I might ask you some more next time.  If I can give you some ideas will you give me info on your next book? I'm still going to try to give you some ideas.

1. Maybe there can be a couple of names so I'll tell you some. Sierra, Shay, Kyra, Kym, Ray, Forest, Susen, Alan, Madiline, (nickname Maddy), Chris, Kris, Shylee, and Victorya.  I can think of a whole lot more but I don't want to overwhelm you an still ant room on page.  Well my hand is getting tired and I have to go.

Very interested reader,

Sierra S.

P. S. Another thank you for playing/watching and eating with us.

 Dear Mrs. Mazzola,

Thank you for coming into our class and reading Tales of the Tree People.  I think it was a fantastic book.  I would love to read your other books.  I think they are going to be really good books.  The next time I go into a book store I will look for your books. What are your next book or books going to be called.  I'm going to give you some advice.  I think you should call one tales of the pinetree.  Or tales of the big sequoia.  Someday I want to be an illustrater. I want to tell you some of my favorite books, Dragon in my Backpack, Star Wars apprentice, and Soldier.

Your favorite reader,

T. J.

 Dear Mrs. Mazzola,

Mrs. Mazzola Thank you for coming into our class. I think your book is interesting.  Thank you for reading your book to our class.  Mrs. Mazzola what is the name of your next book?  Are you going to write another book?  Is your next book going to rhyme?  Mrs. Mazzola thank you for eating lunch with us.  The lunch was good.  Did you get a salad or a school lunch that day?

Your friend,

Shylee

 Dear Mrs. Mazzola,

Thank you for coming in and reading the book.  That was the best book I ever read.  You have the best books. You make the best books.  Thank you for coming in.

Your best book reader,

Colin

 Dear Mrs. Mazzola,

Thank-you very much for coming into our classroom and reading the stories to us.  It was a very interesting and fun book.  I also enjoy that you came into our classroom and I'm sure you enjoyed visiting us as well, eating lunch with us, and watching us play at recess.

I think that being a writer is a big and important job.  You need to have a lot of ideas and imagination to write a book.  If your going to write another book, what's the title going to be?  Do you only write a book about trees or something else?

I'm sure Kael is very proud of you writing books.  Maybe one day Kael wants to be a writer like you.  I hope you can come and visit us again when you write your next book.

Sincerely,

Sean

 Dear Mom,

I love you very, very much, so much there aren't words to explain. Now where to start, I have so many different ways to express my feelings about how much I love you!  Thank you for coming into our classroom to talk about your book!  Please come again, because I want you to come and tell all about all of your books!!!!

I'm also really, very proud of you, and your tremendous work!  How do you write your books so good?

PLEASE WRITE ANOTHER BOOK!

Your son,

Kael

 Dear Mrs. Mazzola,

Thank you for coming into our class.  I hoped you had a great time.  What was your favorite part about coming into our class?  I liked it when you read to us.  Here go the questions. What is your favorite part of your job?  How long have you been writing? Is this the only job you have ever had?  Do you like country music?  What is your favorite book? Have you read Where the Red Fern Grows?  Maybe for your next book you could make it a mystery.  It was pretty fun. Maybe it could be a sequel.  I hope you liked my letter.

Bye.

Sincerely,

Maddy

P. S. Please write back.

 Dear Mrs. Mazzola,

Thank you for coming to our class.  Thanks for organizing a time to come.  Thanks for writing a book.  Also thanks for helping choose the winner for our stories.  Also thank you for writing a stupendous book.  I have some questions for you.  What is your next book going to be named?  How long does it take to write a chapter book?  Do you have any trouble thinking of what to write?  What is your next book going to be about?  What gave you a idea for your next book?  Why are trees in your book?  Do your children inspire you for the characters of your book?

Yours truly,

Laura P.

 Dear Mrs. Mazzola,

Thank you for sharing your book.  I also want to thank you for the bookmark.  I'm glad you were there for a long time.  But I didn't see you that much.  Maybe you could come back and talk about another book.

Your reader,

Jake

Love,

Victoria

I wrote them all back and here was the reply!

 Dear Mrs Mazzola,

Sorry I didn't write the first time well so that's now why I am writing to you now.  You are an excellent reader and writer.  Are you going to write another book, because I am curious?  Your son is really nice.  Thanks for coming in our class room as a guest speaker.  Why do you write?

From

Gabreila (Gabby)

 Dear Mrs. Mazzola,

"Where the Red Fern Grows" is a classic, but it is very sad.  I cried a whole lot when I finished. I was born on Dr. Seuss' birthday (March 2nd)!  I was early.  When I grow up I want to be a part time writer.  What is your favorite part of writing?  I have been trying to write a chapter book for a long time.  Do you have any tips for me?  If so please write back again. Have you read "White Fang"?

Your new fan,

Madeline

Thank you for writing back to me and are you gonna make another book because you make the best books ever because they are really exciting and you are welcome. Hope you write back.
